Explore the career-enhancing East Coat immersion

The Global Exec. and 16 Czech and Slovak C-level professionals embarked on an immersive experience to New York City and Boston. There, they learned scalable, global expansion strategies and delved into innovation-focused cultures in two dynamic business hubs. They engaged with industry leaders, startups and explored sectors like biotech, healthcare, e-commerce, and AI to sharpen their global business acumen.

This program offered key insights into U.S. consumer behavior—essential for European companies entering the market.

A rundown of the trip

Also known as The Big Apple, New York City is an American staple. From its iconic sights to its economic importance in the global economy, its no wonder we chose it as a destination for a business immersion.
As a global hub, the city is a magnet for companies looking to expand across diverse markets, especially those wanting to scale up internationally. In addition to housing globally recognized companies, the vibrant startup scene fosters an agile and creative approach to business. Some of the leading sectors found in this business environment include fintech, media, e-commerce, AI and data analytics, just to name a few.
With such a diverse consumer base provides crucial insights into U.S. customer behavior, helping European firms tailor their market approaches.
Of course, we took participants to visit some iconic places and see the famous sights like Times Square, Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the One World Trade Center and so much more!
Just up the Coast lies another prominent American business hub - Boston, Massachusetts. Home to some of the most prestigious universities in the country, the city is known for its cutting-edge research and corporate innovation, primarily in the fields of biotech and healthcare.
Boston’s intellectual and tech-driven economy provided insights into serving sophisticated U.S. consumers, particularly in tech and healthcare sectors, which made it a key location for learning about tech-driven business advancements.
Similar to NYC, Boston offered a variety of well-known cultural sights, like Boston Harbor, Boston Commons, Fenway Park and numerous, picturesque university campuses.

He holds a Doctorate in Psychology within the fields of management effectiveness and leaders' decision-making and has been putting this knowledge into practice for 20+ years. Jan’s experience, leadership, and sense of humor make him a fitting excursion lead for the immersion.

Monika is the Head of The Global Exec., she’s a global connector and innovation enthusiast. For the past 7+ years, she’s been crafting corporate innovation and business immersions in Europe, North & South America and the MENA region facilitating the exchange of best practices and creative solutions to solve real-world industry challenges.

Alexandra Ilkova

Program Manager

Alexandra Ilkova works as a Program Manager for the American and Iberia region. She led the group in the US, taking them to New York and Boston. She speaks Slovak, Czech, English, and is currently learning Spanish. She spends her leisure time reading books and journals about global politics, listening to podcasts, working out and spending time with family and friends.
